Skin Cancer Treatment

Dr Howard Stevens is a Consultant Dermatologist from the Royal Free Hospital, a major teaching hospital in Hampstead, London. He practised at Barnet General and Chase Farm Hospitals where he was clinical lead for eight years. He then set up the hospitals’ Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, and wrote the Trust’s protocols for the management of Skin Cancer. The MDT is one of the largest of its kind in London and the UK, with over 1,300 skin cancers being treated annually. In addition, Dr Stevens developed the Photodynamic Therapy service (PDT) for the Trust, using both conventional Red light PDT as well as Daylight PDT.

Dr Stevens is an expert in the non-invasive imaging of the skin utilising dermoscopy and confocal microscopy, and he teaches this technique to dermatologists and GPs in North London.
